Evolution of XML Documents
Web Applications are increasingly using XML documents nowadays. Those documents evolve over time, so managing these changes becomes fundamental. The focus of existing research for comparing XML documents resides in identifying syntactic changes, which is not always enough. This paper presents the XChange approach to support the evolution of XML documents based on inference, using Prolog. Differently from existing approaches, XChange uses the syntactic changes in two versions of an XML document, which usually have a common purpose, to infer the reason of the changes.
